How to Know Jesus

The message of “Beyond Lukewarm” is one of forming a closer daily relationship with Jesus. This is the desire of God.

“Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me. I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.” John 15:4-5

But before we can truly have this glorious relationship, we need to verbally dedicate our belief in Him by asking Him into our heart. Through asking Him for forgiveness to be able to start anew and believing He died on the cross for our sins. Because of this we are forgiven and will live in Heaven with the Lord for eternity.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. Romans 10:9-10

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Once you have asked Jesus into your heart, you will grow in His goodness, knowledge and guidance by reading His Word daily and having a close relationship with Him through prayer. Your life will become more fruitful and fulfilling as time goes on, because when you draw near to Him, He will draw near to you!
